We meet every Wednesday night and the last Saturday afternoon of each month to play fun and competitive backgammon tournaments. The Schedule page has the exact date, time and location of all upcoming tournaments.

 

There are no membership dues or fees to join the club. Entry for each tournament is $12. There is an optional $25 side pool to make the matches even more interesting.

• All matches use the doubling cube

• 7-point matches in the Championship Bracket

• 5-point matches in the Consolation Bracket

• Players are guaranteed at least 2 matches

New Players

Players of all skill levels are welcome and instruction is available upon request. New club members will receive a member guide and be added to our distribution list.

Interested players may show up to any club tournament (advance registration is not needed) or email, call or text for more information.

Atlanta Classic

For many years, the Atlanta Northside Backgammon Club has been proud to host the Atlanta Classic. This American Backgammon Tour (ABT) event is one of many tournaments in the United States sponsored by the US Backgammon Association (USBGF). Over 100 players from across the country participated in the most recent event in March 2023. The brochure for the 2024 event will be available soon.
